Free blog post

Since I have felt pretty sad this week, I guess I should tell you why. Are you sure you want to hear it? Will you bawl so much that you run out of tissues so you have to drive super slow because you're crying so hard to the supermarket and walk to the tissue aisle crying and just steal all the tissues? Pardon? You do? Okay. Our deputy principal Mr Pouniu died! I am devastated. So is the rest of the school. We found out the news on Monday, Athletics day. So we were trudging around the school fields feeling pretty down while trying to feel happy while doing the athletics. Mr Pouniu died of cancer. MAJOR cancer. All the rest of the details are kept safely with his family so nobody else knows them except them.

I hope that you haven't burst into tears!  GGOOOODDBBYYEEEEEEEE!

Something I Am Looking Forward To Next Year

Something I am looking forward to next year. Hmm. Oh. Now I remember. I filled in a leadership form last term with the rest of my whanau class.  I wanted to be either a Student Councillor or a Ambassador.  So I filled in that form to apply for those jobs. You find out if you get the job at the School Christmas Carnival. Then when you find out you are a leader of the school, you go up in front of the whole school and their parents and whoever took them there and get your badge from the year 6 person you're replacing.

Thanks for reading my post! GOODBYE!!!

Something I Value

I have no idea what I value. Hmm. Oops, I didn't see you there! Right now I am racking my brain trying to think of something That I value. 😛😛 Finally! It came to me!!! Are you ready? Pardon? Okay, I'll tell you only if you keep this a secret. Only between you and me. MY BOOKSHELF ON MY DECORATED WALL AT HOME! When I learn to read, it was really funny. I was in new entrants and the year ones like Arapata and Gemma and someone else came down from Mr Parsons' class for their reading workshops! So I have always kind of been top of the class at reading. I love to read. I was born with loving to read. So who likes to read? MEEEEEE!!!!!!

Thank you for helping your brain get better at reading by reading  my blog post about reading! When you say it out loud, to me, it's a tongue twister!! GOODBYE!!!!!

A Special Place At School

Lots of people have a special place at school. But they all have a special place that they aspire to build when they're older. But my friends and I have the most special place of all in the school. Can you guess where it is? Did you say the Senior Playground? Nope. Totally wrong. But it is close to the playground! What did you say? The Giant Slide? Nope! Getting warmer! Okay. okay. I'm sick and tired of the guessing. Should I tell you? OK. THE BIG TREE!!! My friends and I love climbing it! We all learnt last year. We like climbing it and playing this really cool game where I act out Ginny Weasley in Harry Potter and Ella-Maree acts out Hermione Granger in Harry Potter ! My friends and I climb it at morning tea and lunch.

Thank you for reading! GOODBYE!!!!!

My holiday- Parliament EXTRAVAGANZA!!!

On the first Sunday in the holidays I went to Parliament in Wellington with my family. I took a ' Kids In The House ' tour. I got a passport with all of the room and I also got stickers to put in it. My tour guide was a really nice lady who explained anything and everything. My parents thought that we could go and take a tour of Parliament because they thought it would be a good ' Educational experience " Oh and I also got to sit exactly where the queen sat!
THIS IS HOW I FELT THE WHOLE WAY AROUND!

Something creative

Something that I made that is very creative is my scrapbook.

My Scrapbook is very colourful. It has a profile all about me, and special moments so far. I am going to add photos of medals I have, favourite things, and a fave crafts and how to make them page. My most previous blog post that I made in week nine (last week ) was the exact same profile from in my scrapbook! I started making my book last week. I started making it here Hokowhitu School! The first page is my profile. As a can-do, we have a maker mat. The maker mat has nine tasks and one of them happened to be " MAKE A SCRAPBOOK ALL ABOUT YOURSELF." So as my number 3 task, I decided to make a scrapbook! 📕📕📕✏✏✏

Something that I have learnt

Our netball season finished in week 7, term 3. Unfortunately, we lost all our games except for one game and that game was when we versed Milson street school. All of us were hugging and screaming about our first ever win of the season.  In the first week of the netball season we got to go through to the roller derby arena and meet all of the famous regional players from all over NZ and we also got to have a photo with Katrina Grant!!! There was also their latest national trophy in the background. There was the Pulse, Tactix, Magic. Steel, Mystics, and the Stars. BTW, those are all of the teams in New Zealand. The silver ferns weren't in uniform though. Still, It was like, REALLY fun! Well, I guess that is the end of my blog.

GOODBYE!!!

Did you say you want to know how we got our waka started? OK. It all started at our term 3 Goal Setting Evening. That is the simple answer. So what do you think about the image of our waka? If you said yes, goodbye!

Production - Behind the scenes...

This is a curtain call video⬆

We are busy preparing for the production. It is on Thursday the 6th of September at 6:30 pm. There is lots of practices happening and it is also very fun! We have 6 dances to do- Cold Water, U.G.L.Y, Scars to your beautiful well that is just the TKT dances then there is the Sasa, Curtain Call and to wrap it all up there is a little routine along to Come Alive. Wow! What a busy night; you might be thinking but there is all the ketes doing a performance and since it is our major production narrating the maori myths we are acting out there has been recording some people's voices to narrate and people acting and pretending to be maori god or goddess.

Production

Me and my friend Lillie are in the Crabs group and we are up the front. It is cool being up the front in the first row because lots of random people can look at you doing a wonderful dance routine. First we do a dance along to Cold Water by Justin Bieber, then we do U.G.L.Y  and then we do a dance along to Scars to your beautiful.

I tried making my first ever blog post.

As you may have heard, it was my first ever blog post about  book I was enjoying. Now I REALLY love that book. Oh, now I forgot to tell you the name and author of the book. Anyway the book is called The Midnight Gang by David Walliams. He is a really humorous judge on the British talent show ' Britain's Got Talent '. He is like, very funny and makes everyone in the arena laugh so much that they nearly fall of their chairs!!!! So I persevered with that!

Milk lady comes in to talk to us

We get a speech from someone at Fonterra

Last week we had a special visit from a Fonterra lady who gave TKT a talk to us about milk. She was really nice and we had a practice folding milk cartons. It was fun and educational all in one. Since we are the leaders of the school, ( year 5 / 6) we get the milk for the kete. Oh, and we all have the responsibility of looking out for the little kids, teaching them the right thing, and teaching them how to fold the milk properly!!! Here is a image of milk:
This is one of our full milk cartons

Something I have persevered with

I persevered with the Production practice.

Our Major Production is in 2 weeks and my friends and I are REALLY excited! It will be at the Regent Theatre on Broadway Avenue. Every 2 years we have a production to boost our acting skills. If one of us want to be an actor, that is a very good and coincidental coincidence. I think that teaching acting is part of the curriculum so that's why we have a production every 2 years.

Almost ( well, to be honest, mostly EVERY DAY,) we have a production dance routine practice. Me, Lillie, and Ruby P are in the Crabs group. But unfortunately, Ella-maree is in the Fish group. So we are each at the front and middle and back at different times!😔😞 Oh well, we can get over it. At least I think so.........

See more of my stuff in the next blog post!!!

Something that I am really proud of

I am really proud of last term's week 6 free write.

It was about me singing a song at the Regent Theatre. Well it's quite obvious that it came straight of the imagination factory. If it was real, then I would be famous, on the T.V, and be the gossip in every neighbourhood. Anyway. Back to the story. My dress was a radiant MAGENTA, and I had awesome makeup. On a scale of 1 to ten, I rate it a 10!!! ( Oh and I mean it for real! )

My favoruite subject.

My favourite subject is art.

I love art because you can just be generally creative. My favourite artist is Vincent Van Gough. I actually did a recreation of his art in 2017. It was really fun. I did some art in creative corner last week. It will turn out to be something that advantages our class. Now, it just looks like a blob of paint on a box of potatoes. HEHEHEH...... Anyway. I'm just saying.

Thanks for reading my "sort of funny" blog post! Come back to read more of my personal buisness!!!!!!

Something I enjoy doing with my friends at lunchtime

We enjoy walking around the school sharing secrets.

Most of morning tea and lunchtime, Me, Lillie, Ella-Maree and Ruby walk around the school, sharing secrets. These type of secrets are secrets that only girls should know about. Sometimes they are good secrets and sometimes just casual secrets like what clothes you like, or who your favourite celebrity is. I guess that the secrets we tell won't be much of a secret anymore since I've told you what the casual type is. We like telling secrets because it is fun. The best part is when we get to be in a nice, quiet, and  enclosed space to tell secrets. I LOVE TELLING SECRETS!!!!!!!!!
                                               I LOVE TELLING SECRETS!!!!!!!!!

A visit from PNBHS

PNBHS paid us a visit

Yesterday the Boy's High School band played a few songs to us. There was also a choir that sung a 5 minute song to us. I loved all the solo's and songs that they played to us. We had a medley song from a band called Chicago. Some times we accidentally clapped at the wrong time but they were still so good. Lillie and me enjoyed the last song so much that we started clapping along to the beat. Then the whole school started clapping too. Sometimes in the performance, they did solo's which sounded really nice. There was the Saxaphone, the Clarinet, and the drums. In the end, they were playing a song altogether and it sounded really lovely. Thank you for reading my blog post and I hope that you enjoyed it!!!!!!!!!!

Something that I am passionate about

I am passionate about.......

I am passionate about Cats. They are cute, adorable, and lovable mammals. I actually have a cat called Gemma at home! Cats are the best animals ever created. I wish that cats weren't troublemakers. The trouble that my cat causes isn't major, fortunately. The biggest trouble she ever caused was when she pulled up a corner of the carpet! Now she is in BIG trouble!!! Anyway, she is still soooo cute and just saying, I LOVE YOU GEMMA!

Someone I respect

I respect ...

I respect my friend Lillie. She is kind and caring. Whenever I fall over or hurt myself, she is always there for me. " Do you want to go to the sick bay? " Lillie asks me. As an example, when I was a little bit scared, she encouraged me and said "You can do this " Thank you Lillie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A book that I am enjoying

I am going to tell you about a book I am enjoying. This book is called The Midnight Gang by David Walliams. Did you know that David is also a Judge on a talent show called Britain's Got Talent? I have read this book at least 5 times and it is a very good book. I recommend this book to kids aged 8-12. So this is the plot of the book. When Tom, an innocent boy, gets hit on the head with a cricket ball, he is trundled off to Lord Funt Hospital. But what he doesn't realise is that he can't have anything he wants for breakfast, and that the Matron doesn't even like children! Now, meet the Porter. He is a very nice man with a lopsided face. At first sight, Tom screams at the Porter because he looks a little bit scary. Now since he is a member of the Midnight Gang, Tom isn't scared of him anymore. Every night, the Midnight Gang goes on a cool adventure. From going into the deep freeze to chasing a naked old lady over the rooftops of London, they have a lot of fun. In the end, the Porter gets sacked for taking the kids in an ambulance to rescue an old 99 year old lady hanging on to balloons for dear life! They drive the wrong way down one way streets, go through red lights, and lock the cleaner in the gift shop! The children are devastated. It gets a lot worse when Tom gets 1 cornflake with a hint of tomato sauce!

Thank you for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed it! Come back next week! BYE BYE!Image result for midnight gang by david walliams
